This year’s Spotlight Showcase theme is “Rise Up,” meant to inspire and empower these young artists to use the life skills honed in musical theatre to lead in their communities around Minnesota and beyond.

As the flagship education program of Hennepin Theatre Trust, Spotlight Education engages Minnesota high school students in the performing arts.

Lifelong learning, leadership and community are the core values of Spotlight Education and the talented students who participate in the year-long program.

Spotlight Showcase, the culmination of the year’s journey, invites all participating high schools to step into the limelight and perform before live audiences at the historic State Theatre – a not-to-miss experience!
